VIP Announces WITS 2014 – Women in Technology Scholarship; Supports Women Pursuing a Career in IT

FOLSOM, Calif. – Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP) has announced its 7th annual Women in Technology Scholarship (WITS) program. WITS 2014 will support women who are enrolled at, or are accepted into, a two or four year college or university in the United States for the 2014 school year.

Multiple scholarships of up to $2,500 per recipient will be awarded to candidates pursuing a career in computer science, information technology (IT), management information systems, or other related fields, while meeting the program requirements defined in the application.

Submissions will be evaluated based on candidate essays, which define and offer meaningful solutions to local or statewide IT problems. Consideration will also be given to academic performance, community involvement, leadership qualities and extracurricular activities.

“The VIP team has demonstrated a tremendous capacity to serve others,” said VIP’s CEO, Jonna Ward. “I’m excited that we’re able to continue supporting qualified professional women through WITS, while also investing in the future of the IT industry.”
